Don Burrows / 2000 Weeks
Label. EMI Test

$200
Wow! A 2000 Weeks OST test pressing. I can’t praise this record high enough. Quite simply the best Australian jazz record. Taken from the art film that revived the Australian film industry in the 60s and set the tone for the Aussie New Wave of the following decade. We’re very pleased to offer this important Australian film music time piece. Essential Australian Modernist jazz. Beyond Rare!
Alan Tew & Bullet / The Hanged Man

Alan Tew’s spy-funk classic! Heaps of dancefloor-friendly (and producer-friendly) rhythms, breaks and wah-wah’d-out funky instrumental jams. A real killer that’s been sought-after for many years. Original UK press. If you only buy one spy soundtrack this year…
Lalo Schifrin / Enter The Dragon
Label. Warner

$90
Original Japanese double album pressing of this Bruce Lee movie soundtrack. Lalo Schifrin composed the score and this rare Japanese version has the actors’ dialogue over the music throughout. This version is much rarer than the music-only record. No OBI or poster.
Roman Vlad & Rene Cloerec / Where the Hot Wind Blows & Love is My Profession.

Incredibly rare Australian edition of this Brigitte Bardot related LP. Split OST from two early European soundtracks. Nice flipback copy with unique Australian cover art.

Phenomenal Italian OST! Surely the rarest and most sort after LP on the superb Gemelli imprint. Exceptional Giallo themes with a dark psychedelic atmosphere. Includes a killer fuzz heavy ‘Shake’ track plus some sublime vocal themes from Edda. We’re very pleased to offer this amazing record. Serious Italian OST/library collectors will know that it never turns up. It’s also very sort after by Italian jazz collectors. So Rare!
Osanna & Luis Bacalov / Milano Calibro 9

Fantastic Italian Poliziotteschi soundtrack. Featuring prog rockers Osanna and the great soundtrack composer Luis Bacalov. Quite a varied soundtrack, ranging from semi classical passages to heavy prog jams and flute funk. Hard to find US press.

This used to be quite a pricey LP as I believe it only saw an Australian release. How it came to be issued on the budget label Axis is any ones guess. I assume to cash in on the Australian popularity of the Terrence Hill and Bud Spencer films. Really hard to find, even here.
Bruno Nicolai / Marquis De Sade

One of the best Gemelli OSTs. Psychedelic delirium from the Jess Franco film. Italian soundtrack master Bruno Nicolai at his finest. Soundtracks don’t get much better! Highly Recommended.
Bruno Zambrini / Racconti Di Mare

One of my favourite underwater OSTs. It contains the two important ingredients of an Italian underwater soundtrack, exotic bossa and sub aquatic Avant Garde. Also features an incredibly infectious vocal scat theme plus a killer psychedelic beat track. Proof that no one can top the Italians at film music. Disc looks unplayed. A lot of copies of this LP seem to have a bad laminate problem on the cover. This copy is in great condition with only a few light creases. Original Italian press. White label promo.
Ennio Morricone / Citta Violenta
Label. RCA Argentina
Disc. VG+

$150 AUD
Popular and always in demand Italian soundtrack. Sure it’s well known but that is for good reason. It really is one of the best Morricone LPs. Not only for the classic psychedelic funk of Svolta Definitiva but also for the great title theme as well as the best tune on the LP, the obsessive Disperatamente. Obscure Argentinian press. Sounds as good as the Italian copy and a thicker style card sleeve is a bonus. Very clean disc, light noise in parts. Light wear to the seams which is common for this Argentinian press.
Aminadav Aloni / Once

Strange record this one. Has a really peculiar sound all of its own. Plaintive and pastoral electronics from a virtually unknown composer. Really great record. I recommended taking a chance. This copy is still sealed.
Sven Libaek / Australian Suite
Label. Festival

Unjustly overlooked LP. Not a soundtrack as such but rather a concept LP about various locations in Australia. The second half of the long first track has one of the most infectious Libaek melodies…. There’s a later 70s press of this but this is an original 60s Stereo flipback copy. Occasional hairline. Plays with some noise.
Billy Green / Stone

Legendary Australian biker soundtrack. Recently become popular oversees due to the reissue from Finders Keepers. Eccentric mix of electronics and psych.
There’s a few 70s issues but this is the original green WB label press.
Some light scuffs. Some noise. Ring wear on reverse.
Elmer Bernstein / Staccato

A jewel amongst the stock standard 60s crime jazz genre. Great soundtrack. Very rare Australian flipback copy. Ring wear on reverse.

For me this is the most stylish Australian 70s jazz LP. From the music down to the artwork. Features the huge modal cut ‘Kate Did’ plus the great “Self bloody Control’ not to mention all the funky break tracks that people want. The film is on the Australian ’lost films’ wanted list from the National Archive. I believe there is a rare VHS copy. If anyone has it let me know!!
Herbie Hancock / Fat Albert Rotunda
Label. Warner Bros.

For me this is the best Herbie Hancock LP after the Mwandishi records. It has organic feel that the later Head Hunter funk LPs don’t have. A real joy to listen to from start to finish. Light dirt on white card. Essential. Australian press.
Piero Piccioni / Swept Away

Hard to find US press of this great Italian OST. Beautiful Exotic Bossa from the master composer. I listen to this record a lot. Great film too. Clean disc, some light noise. Light ring wear.

It used to be hard to go into an Australian charity shop and not come out with a copy of Chariots of the Gods, Rodriguez – Cold fact or any of the Mandingo LPs. All were phenomenally popular here it seems. Anyway, a little bit harder to find now. As for the music, it’s as good as any three figure soundtrack. Top record. A must! Australian press. Perfect copy.
Vladimir Cosma / The Adventures of Rabbi Jacob

Don Burrows / 2000 Weeks

Very rare Australian score from Burrows. His best solo work in my opinion. Dark incidental jazz themes featuring some of the big Australian players of the day. Buddle, Lyall etc. Often compared to UK jazz of the same period. LP is in great shape. This copy has a slight corner bend and sticker on cover.
